Question of concern for the little guy game developer⌠in the medium article it mentions 10 âUNIQUEâ players required each week to be eligible for rewards.
If this could be clarified, that would be awesome. To be specific to what needs clarified:
1. What is considered âuniqueâ players?
2. Are these 10 unique players per week only unique for one week period? 2-week period? The entire builders challenge?
Hi, what do you mean for Easter Eggs? Only the presence of the 3 asset on the map, or have the 3 asset hidden somewhere? How you check if they are hidden or not?
What is considered âuniqueâ players?
A unique player is a player using a singular individual account. We used the word âunique playerâ as opposed to âvisitsâ. Unique players can have multiple visits in your experience.
Are these 10 unique players per week only unique for one week period? 2-week period? The entire builders challenge?

Easters eggs are a pure suggestion, you are welcome to showcase the assets however you see fit in your experience, we do not wish to dictate how you should place the assets.

The way I read it is literally as it is written meaning â⌠three unique assets from The Sandbox Brands Partners from the list belowâŚâ

We understand that this is very important to the sandbox; as it is helpfully repeated 3 times in the medium article.
This is impactful for the small builder due to the scale of effort needed.
so just for clarity on point (2) raised by ERA. for an experience to qualify for rewards.
A) 10 Unique players each week.
This means for the duration of the 10wk challenge 100 completely different unique players are needed in total.
To qualify for each week of the challenge. every week 10 more completely unique players who have never played the experience before are needed.
B) 10 Unique players each week, every 2-week period.
This means for the duration of the 10wk challenge 20 completely different unique players are needed in total.
To qualify for each 2 week duration of the challenge. For the first week 10 unique players are needed. For the second week 10 more unique players (which are different from the players for the first week) are needed. For the third week, the 10 unique player who played on the first week can replay the experience to qualify. For the fourth week, the 10 unique players who played in the second week can replay the experience to qualify.
C) 10 Unique players each week, every 1-week period.
This means for the duration of the 10wk challenge 10 completely different unique players are needed in total.
To qualify for each week duration of the challenge. For the first week 10 unique players are needed. For each of the next 9 weeks; the same 10 unique players who replay the experience are sufficient to qualify.
As can be seen by the complexity of the above scenarios. if becomes increasingly complicated for the small builder to track such metrics(by themselves and without any tools/analytics from sandbox) and figure out if they have enough unique players for the each of the 1 or 2 wk durations so they can qualify for the payout every 2 weeks.

so please do kindly share, To qualify; would builders need to comply to scenario (A) or (B) or (C)

And if capacity allows, please share what improvements to the analytics pages would allow the builder to track such metrics. (research on youtube content creator portal and amzon seller portals would show that the âplatformâ provides specific tools which are tuned to enable its creators/sellers and they need not use a separate platforms to track their own viewerâs metrics or how much sales they are making from their various products on sale.)
Hi @PeaJay , Just wanted to ask. since we cannot use our IP avatars as NPCs in the experience, can we make an inspired version of the IP avatars we have?
Taking advantage of Vauxâs suggestions, Iâd like to know if we can make specific Equipment Aassets to overlay on well-known Avatars as clothing. The proposal is to create specific clothes for the Avatars with IP. Therefore, create Equipment with the names of the collections and explain the purpose of such Equipment in the descriptions. In this sense, is this allowed to do?

Many of these IP assets are minted by @SandboxGame.
It would be best to provide a clear asset list, on which assets count for a valid boost so we donât have to guess.
Not quite builders challenge related but sort of is⌠it would be awesome and a huge suggestion if we could use our avatars we are not currently running around with, as NPCâs in game. Instead of a gallery of all the regular assets have a moving gallery of Avatars.
So⌠@Meowl Why are we being forced to buy those IP Assets in the first place?
It would be fantastic if we were forced to buy assets from the Voxel Artist community.
For example, you have to buy X assets from the community to be able to participate or gain %Boost, in order to stimulate the market for artistsâ assets.
To add value I guess, I wonât surprise if they decide to do the same with premium lands later.
This time, I donât mind spending a few SAND to join the Easter egg party, get a FIXED percentage boost. Itâs optional, and people can still join the challenge without it.
But this model must not turn into a pay-to-win scenario where, imagine they say we can buy unlimited IP asset with each increase the boost by 20%.
If a unique player visits your experience multiple times does their session lengths get combined into one single total session length? If not then is it only the first session length taken into account or the longest or average or last? Could see problems arising when thereâs accidental crashes or when hosting competitions or experiences that require full resets.
Are the unique players tied to the game or the land. Could people unpublish their game and reupload/ upload a new draft and it reset the unique player count after two weeks.
Is unique players going to be counted from the very start of the builders challenge or will existing metrics of unique players in that land / published draft version affect the metrics of this builders challenge?

Yes, I believe it will escalate if such a discussion doesnât come. I donât see any problem with bringing IPs into the experiences, but I donât understand why they need to make us pay for it. Just add the IPâs to basic GM Assets library and we will place them in all experiences and marketing those IP in our games. We can do that for free, by the way, during non season events, itâs actually fun. Please do.
This is also a problem for the IPs because many big-name collections are expensive. So what we will actually have is basically just Easter Eggs from Captain Tsubasa because thatâs what we can afford to buy.
Who knows? Maybe im wrong, so, any case, if this doesnât happen and TSB actually makes substantial sales of NFTs due to the event, please remember to come back here and refute me. Im here to learn.
I say âforceâ because the 50% boost is very high, so thereâs almost no option if the Creatorâs intention is to earn some SANDs. And 100% need for be at TOP. If you know someone who wonât buy, let me know, I would like to meet them and know how they feel about it.
And as I also mentioned, it is healthier for the Artists community to buy assets from itself, because this, besides creating an internal Easter Egg, drives the economy of the Artistsâ market, which should be TSBâs main focus.

Answer (as it has been explained in a reply to me, above) Players are unique for 2-weeks, therefore with player uniqueness resets every 2-weeks, I would say there is no need to unpublish and republishâŚ
Also, the players time in experience is different than their uniqueness⌠their time and everyoneâs time should be collectively collected to give the total time played. Their unique factor only matters because of the 10 per week requirement even though the reward cycle is in two week cycles. I hope that clears up some of the chaos.
