:loudspeaker:How to get nominated:loudspeaker:

Click here to register your experience for one or multiple awards. You have up until November 6th to submit your experience. All candidacies will be reviewed. Please read the details below to fully understand the selection process.

The Sandbox reserves the right to remove some experiences from the registered lists if those experiences are deemed to be spam or if the experience is far from the game type it was registered for.

You can only submit your experience to one single game type category. If we see an experience in multiple game type categories, we will only consider the first category it was registered for.

Note that to ensure a fair voting process, you can’t both be a member of the jury and submit an experience to one of the categories. If we find someone in both roles you will lose your role as a member of the jury.

:ballot_box: How to be part of the Jury :ballot_box:

The jury for the 2024 Sandbox Awards is made up entirely of community members, ensuring that those who live and breathe the Sandbox world have a direct say in recognizing the best creators. This approach not only makes the voting process more authentic but also strengthens the bond within our creative community—it’s all about creators celebrating creators!

Click here to apply to be part of the jury and vote for the best experience in each category! As a member of the jury your responsibilities will be:

  1. Review Submissions: Thoroughly evaluate all nominated experiences in their assigned categories.
  2. Adhere to Evaluation Criteria: Judge each submission based on predefined criteria like innovation, gameplay, art direction, or narrative.
  3. Vote Impartially: Cast a fair and unbiased vote, free of personal preferences or affiliations.
  4. Meet Deadlines: Submit votes and evaluations within the given timeframe to ensure a smooth voting process.
  5. Maintain Confidentiality: Keep all voting discussions and results private until the official announcement.

Once you’ve submitted your candidacy to be part of the jury, we will review the application and get back to you for confirmation once submissions close on November 6th.

In order to be a member of the jury:

  • Your account must be KYC or KYB
  • Your account must have been created prior to July 15th 2024

Note that to ensure a fair voting process, you can’t both be a member of the jury and submit an experience to one of the categories. If we find someone in both roles you will lose your role as a member of the jury.

On November 13th you will be given a list of experiences to play and a form to vote for the best experience in each category. You will have until November 27th to submit your vote.

Depending on the number of jury members and experience submitted, The Sandbox might make modifications to the voting system to make sure it runs smoothly. For example, if there are a lot of submitted experiences, we might assign specific individual jury members to only a few categories so as to not burden them with too many experiences to review.

:date:Timeline summary:date:

  • October 25th - Submissions are open
  • November 6th - Submissions are closed
  • November 13th - Votes are open
  • November 27th - Votes are closed

Hello!
I have a question to ask you.
I created an experience that took more than a thousand hours of work, it is entirely custom-made. To increase immersion, no blocks are visible. It is an “action adventure” type experience. When the new features of the .10 update arrived, I made a “shooting” version (PVP FPS) thanks to the projectiles and the possibilities that it gives.
The structure is the same (the assets are not the same because painted in a different way).
The gameplay, sounds and atmosphere are totally different. There are 64 quests in the adventure version and 2 in the FPS version

Aside from the architecture, these 2 experiences are really different for the players

Do you think it is possible for me to try my luck in this competition by registering both? Do you think these 2 experiences can be eliminated from the start?

It would be excellent if the team would create an official logo for each Awards, including nominations, and send a copy to the winners in png format so they can use it for marketing purposes.

Also, it would be great to extend the SAND prizes to each nominated experiences regardless of how many times it was nominated in diff categories. I am not asking much, but it should be an additional fund not included from the 100K prizes.

More Power!

Hello @Vilaincoincoin ,

It’s ok to register both experiences as long as it’s in different game type categories. If you are considering registrating for the Best Art Direction award, we would appreciate if you only register 1 of the exps for this award. Hope this makes sense.

Best,
The Sandbox Staff
