Not real sure which category this falls in because there are so many moving pieces (GameMaker, VoxEdit, Website, Servers…)
I am the owner of a “White D6 Dice”. In fact, I am the asset designer of said asset. Also to mention, the asset in question is in the marketplace “for sale” by me. So why the $&%* would I have to buy this asset to be able to publish a game I have developed? My issue is obviously I am not able to publish my game because of this ”glitch”, “oversight” or “bug”.
I did also notice that when I went to attach “MY LAND” which I purchased a while ago to this game, it said the land was owned by TSB…actually, it said all my lands were. I still tried to attach it. It attached fine.
@maxime.reynaud I appreciate your ignorance in this particular situation… I failed to mention, I only put half of those I own up for sale. see the above image… 20 minted and 10 for sale… So yes, in fact I do still own them and should be able to use them and publish. Hopefully, it can be solved by the masterminds as I am have found out there are others with this same issue.
Just to make clear: “Also to mention, the NFT in question is in the marketplace “for sale” by me.”
Assuming you have the TSB’s NFT in your wallet.
Are you using it in more than one experience?
I’m not sure if this is the case, or if it’s something new.
But,
What’s happening is the situation addressed in the DAO, “Removing the ‘1 asset per experience’ requirement”], and also in the Catalyst Feedback post 19 (ONE NFT PER EXPERIENCE ISSUE)
It’s about the very awkward situation of not being able to use the Assets purchased as NFTs copy in more than one experience.
This limitation is currently a major gear blocker in the Marketplace community.
As a buyer and also a creator, I see this situation dragging on for a few months since it was discovered by Andy Ritch in may
@Dankoyy I’m not sure how I can make this clearer other than drawing it in crayon for the kids in the back of the room… let me try…
I created the asset (White D6) using VoxEdit and VoxEdit only.
I then uploaded it to my workspace along with 9 other D6 Dice of various colors.
I have the White D6 being used in 3 of my games at the moment “Gameland”, “Gameland Corrupted” & “Button Of Chance”.
I just created “Dice Pusher” which uses the White D6 & 9 other colored D6 dice in the game.
The White D6 and the 9 other Colored D6’s were minted to be used as giveaways and marketplace items. These were minted all at the same time.
I then only put 10 of the 20 minted up on the marketplace for sale.
I gave away 1 white & 1 of each of the colored D6’s.
I have a remainder of 9 white in my possession. From the 9, let’s subtract the 3 games mentioned in “bullet point 3” above, that gives me a remainder of 6 to be used in games.
So having a quantity of 6 White D6’s remaining in my inventory, I should have the ability to publish the game without any issues.
I hope this clarifies any confusion that anyone has…
While your frustration with this issue is understandable, we kindly ask to keep the discussion constructive and respectful. It helps ensure that everyone feels comfortable contributing to the conversation.
Not the answer you want, but i had the same issue. I minted 20 copies, put 10 on sale with the intent that the asset is used in 3 of my experiences. This should set up a scenario where i have 7 copies left to use in experiences, while the 10 are for sale in market.
Ran up against the wall you did.
The only way to work around it, before minting the asset is to open a copy in voxedit, make a slight change to the asset, and then upload it as a new asset. Basically, two nearly identical copies of the asset, with one of them remaining unminted and therefore usable in as many of my experiences as i choose.
The for sale asset is not used at all in my game.
Unfortunately once minted, you cant go into the workspace and open the asset in voxedit and make a copy, so you’ll have to go back to your raw voxedit files on your machine and then make a copy.
It makes managing assets much more confusing with the near duplicate, but it’s the only way I’ve figured to work around it.
Once you have the new copy, and its up in your workspace just run the replace asset and swap out all for sale minted instances for the unminted copy.
Not ideal, but will get you around this issue until it’s fixed.
@theJoncrow I had a fellow SandFam & Common-Unity member say it best… “ (this) seems unnecessarily complicated”. Yes, your exact suggestion is the very process/hack/workaround I planned on implementing this evening, as waiting on things to happen is insane, I was really just pushing the envelope of attention to the problem… as TSB seems to only make changes when enough people or at least loud people complain enough…
Sometimes it’s draining to come here and give important feedback, but we are never responded to by TSB properly. The UGC community watches this closely, by the way, seeing this treatment towards those who speak up. Maybe some TSB Staff think we’re “buzzing,” “noisy,” and, in the end, we’re ignored with laughter (in my free poetic adaptation).
But at the end of the day, what matters are the numbers. Are catalysts being sold? Are people buying and using the NFTs? How’s the mood in your inbox email? Unfortunately or fortunately, the data reveals the reality of the complexities involved, but the excuses given may not be exactly the ones that should be.

As a courtesy, for @maxime.reynaud if your feelings were hurt by the typed words on your screen (which I seriously doubt your skin is that thin) then I apologize for being too blunt in my delivery of obvious information. As for @Dankoyy I know you & I share the same sentiments in the issues we are dealing with, that being said, I appreciate how you asked for more detailed clarification to help the powers to be understand the process more thoroughly.
Anyone else offended or feelings hurt? Just know, I am out for helping identify issues & and where I can provide solutions while not being afraid to die on the sword along the way. “To make an omelet, you are going to have to break some eggs!”
Yeahhh Escape, take it easy on Reynaud, it’s his first contact.
And Reynoud, our member Escape is just like that, nothing personal—if you slip up, he emphasizes poetic, words and emotions a little.
But @maxime.reynaud Thank you for your response!
Could you explain better what you meant?
In my interpretation of your response, when we put an NFT listing for sale we can’t use it?
Maybe you could clarify what you meant.
Communication is everything!
@theJoncrow It’s interesting that you both were able to use it in 3 experiences but not a fourth. Were the three experiences published before the rules changed on the use of assets in experiences (plus or minus the release of 0.10.10)?
As @Dankoyy alluded to, it would be great to know if this is working as intended or a bug. If WAI, then we know that once we mint, we need to sell all the assets and make a duplicate spare for our own use.
@Sapperlight.
It wasnt so much that it worked in 3 experiences, but not the 4th.
I thought I had minted enough copies where I could sell a bunch while still keeping enough minted, but not for sale that would have allowed my experiences to publish properly.
When that didnt work, i just went the duplicate and change asset approach, and then swapped the ones giving problems out in gm with the new copies that just sit in my workspace, and not my wallet.
I’m pretty sure that what i expected in the first place should work fine, but for whatever reason it hasnt in my case.
About Assets Created
I just did the test now.
I minted an Asset with 10 copies.
I put 9 up for sale.
And I managed to launch my experience with the NFT that I own.
But the issue for me its about “One NTF per Experience”.
About purchased Assets.
I have this NFT, not for sale, 1 copy, (U$19.00)
https:// www.sandbox.game/en/ assets/hellish-demon-girl/c052ab98-05bb-4cf6-82e1-e23d8b3160f2/
However, I can only use it in one experience.
In the other one, it shows as pending and asks me to purchase it.
This situation of having one NFT per experience really doesn’t make any sense.
We can’t have this kind of mechanism in the community.
I simply can’t create experiences and games with the assets I paid for.
This is the kind of totally unnecessary and forced scarcity.
Please, you, TSB, need to talk clearly with the community about this.
Basicly impossible to scaling game production on LANDs, which is currently one of TSB’s goals. It’s completely against the objective. A gear against the tide.
Please fix this TSB. Let us use your platform and build games, and use the Lands.
Different issue for me as I have 3 games with the asset and I can’t put it in the 4th even though I have 6 on hand that are not in the marketplace. I have decided not to publish the game because of this issue… not worth messing with it… I will wait for TSB to fix themselves, so I don’t have stupid duplicated assets in my inventory… I have faith that sometime after the AS4 the issue may be fixed… maybe that is wishful thinking… we will see.
