Hello, I have a question. I have a character that I unlocked to be able to make special animations. The problem is that I need to add things to the inventory (clothing) in the experience, but since the character is unlocked, it doesn’t allow me to assign it. In other words, I can take the collectible, it shows up in the inventory in the GM, but it doesn’t equip it to the character. Is there a way to lock the character again while keeping the animations I added?
Currently there is no way you can see the equipment reflected in your custom avatar if it is unlocked, I do not remember if it is a bug or something like that.
There are certain ways in which you can do it, but it’s a difficult trick, maybe there are other workarounds but last time my avatar roll in slow motion which was very annoying, I haven’t looked for other ways, but maybe it’s not possible.
Hi, Juan
I have the same problem but first I need to find out how I make my unlocked Avatar character use the animations I created for him… Do you have any ideas how I change animations during game play? I created a character who shoots using a small handgun and i made quite a few animations but I’m not sure how I access the animations during game play.
Hi, I have found a way to create special animations and make them visible in Game Maker. It is a bit tricky; you need to place the animations in a locked avatar, and they must have the same name as the original.
how do you manage to put animations into a locked Avatar?
