Using Blocks
Blocks can be used to create terrains and buildings, and they can be set to have different physical and visual properties.
Scale and Land Use
LAND is the basic unit of measurement for Experiences. Learn more about what 3D interactive content can fit into one or more LANDs.
3D Shape: Concept & Blockout
Make a rough base map before you build to save time. VoxEdit is an excellent tool to create a mini version of your map first. Building with blocks is similar to building with voxels.
Once you’ve worked out the use of 3D space in your concept, begin the blockout of the Experience. Focus first on shape and a few base colors. At this point, builders only add very large assets that shape the world.
Blockout Aesthetics
Color variation and careful use of textures can make your blockout attractive, but not distracting from gameplay. Use these specific recommendations or come up with your own palette.
